Newton's Laws
“..an object in motion, stays in motion..”
Don’t let one situation slow you down so much that it stops your forward motion. I have consistently applied two of Newton’s Laws to my life: the First and the Third. Refer to Newton’s First law (The Law of Inertia) first:
An object at rest stays at rest, and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in a straight line unless acted upon by an external force.
Anything could be that external force. ANYTHING. Friends, family, romantic relationships, work, your loud neighbors that cause you to lose sleep.. Literally anything. It is imperative that you protect the peace that allows you to continue to push forward and remain in motion.
You can have bad days. It’s completely normal. But don’t let a bad day (or situation) stop your forward motion. Stopping your forward motion does nothing but delay the end results you’re trying so hard to get to.
Think about it like this: if you let one bad moment spoil the day, it will not end there. The day will turn into the week.. The week into the month.. And before you know it, you will look at the whole year in disgust, all because you let one bad day ruin a whole year.
It’s all about consistency. If you aim to work on a skill on the side, 30 minutes a day, every single day is better than nothing. Some days you might put in more work than you planned. And some days you won’t be able to do the full 30. THAT is how you stay in motion. Consistency. Now for that Third Law.
The Third Law (Law of Action-Reaction): For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
These two laws work in tandem when it comes to life. If you keep moving, you will always be moving. And.. every action you take, has a reaction. By staying in motion constantly (the action), you will always be moving forward (the reaction). I live my life by this.
You want to be great at something? Keep chipping away at it. Stay consistent. Get your reps in, ALWAYS. You will get there eventually. Newton’s First and Third Laws show you that. Only YOU can stop your forward motion and only YOU can control how you react and act when it comes down to it.
STACK ON.
