New Year, Better Execution
Execution is the key to the game.
As this year closes out, remember that statement. Look around you… peep your elders and their peers, peep YOUR peers. You can clearly see the differences between those that plan and execute like their life depends on it (it does) and those that don’t. Don’t live your life like the latter.
2025 IS DONE. Whatever happened, happened. Whatever didn’t happen, didn’t happen. Don’t let 2025’s Ls hold you back from progress in 2026. EXECUTE. Do the things you say you’re going to do.
SET HIGH GOALS. You might surprise yourself and crush it. If you miss, you’ll land somewhere you weren’t before. The goal is progress. The fruit is in the journey. Execution is something you need to practice OVER AND OVER AND OVER. Get in the mindset of finishing. Everything won’t be perfect. Stop waiting for the perfect time to start something. Execute the start and figure it out from there. Finish those projects you’ve started. It builds character. EXECUTION BUILDS CHARACTER.
You want to learn faster? Execute on what you say you’re going to do faster. Make a to-do list and cross things off. When you’re done, make another. You learn by executing tasks. You learn by not having a perfect ending product, learning from your mistakes, doing it again with a better strategy, THEN you hit that lightbulb moment. But the lightbulb doesn’t come on the first time without constant execution, analysis of the results, and updating your game plan based on the past.
You have to execute. Now is the time. Not tomorrow. Not the new year. Today is actually perfect (in my opinion) because it’s a Monday, and it’s about to be a new year. Think of these last days of 2025 as the pregame or warm up for 2026. How you do one thing is how you do everything, and we all have a few things we can stand to work on to polish up and get better. One of the key ways we do this is executing, even when scared. Fear holds a lot of us back (think imposter syndrome). You are capable of doing the things you want to do in life, you just have to jump off of the porch (the porch in your head because it’s all mental) and just start executing. You can’t worry about fumbling and making mistakes (IT’S GOING TO HAPPEN ANYWAY). Mistakes are a part of the process. It’s how you get better (by learning from them).
And don’t just think I’m talking to my Stackers, I’m talking to myself as well. I haven’t been on my game like I need to be. Especially with FSO and getting these emails out. So I’m going to be on MY grind more too.
So let’s start 2026 with a BANG. Start today. Don’t wait for Thursday when the clock strikes midnight. Change doesn’t happen overnight, it happens over time.. with a series of actions.
Remember, it takes about a month to form a habit and 3 months to make it a permanent lifestyle change. You can make executing on the things you need to do to get ahead a habit before the summer starts trickling in. Happy New Year!
